It’s been sleepy around here lately.
I blame the cooler temperatures and nighttime thunderstorms. Some days, I love the long overdue rain. Other days, I get stir-crazy sitting in my dim office. Fortunately, when it’s becomes too much, I can simply pull on my rain boots and explore the beauty outside our door.
On the other hand, it’s also been extra busy with work. And, I’ve got to say that I really, really love feeling like I’m productive again.
The transition from being a full-time student to a part-time worker to a full-time worker threw me for a loop for a while. I didn’t like the inconsistency and I didn’t like the aimless days. Now, I’m figuring it out. It particularly helps me to schedule workouts, to plan meals ahead of time and to set aside some distraction-free time with Dan.
Sanity is a wonderful thing.
In other exciting news, Dan and I are having a belated housewarming party this weekend. There’s still work to be done before then — so close to finishing the deck! — but it looks like the weather will be perfect for an evening barbeque and bonfire.
